Research on Managers in Organizations

We studied team leaders and senior managers across various organizations and found that a significant part of an employee’s ability to improve their condition—and the creation of a positive organizational atmosphere—depends on the manager's functioning.

Skills such as the ability to empower employees, express gratitude, acknowledge their strengths, show genuine interest in the employee and their family, and express positive emotions—are critical to fostering meaningful, positive change within the organization.

An evaluation study we conducted on managers showed that they significantly improved their skillsets, which contributed not only to enhanced personal wellbeing but also to notable improvements in their workplace environment.

We found a clear link between the positive emotions of the manager, the positive emotions of the employee, and customer satisfaction.
